Subject: Cortical Correaltes of Conscious Observer...
I reviewed Professor Cowan's model for visual pattern formations as a derivative of visual cortex dynamics as crystal phase processes...I found it very his work very interesting and inspiring for continued efforts and coincidental with a lot of my studies/thinking I've been engaged with during the past 16 years...

Despite Jack Cowan's presentation of a mathematical model for what is observed visually during hallucinatory episodes of LSD ingestion, a question that persist is that the phase space configuration of entrained processes are kid of physical entity self-organizations by themselves and yet require a conscious 'observer' to make a distinction between observer and what is seen out there...now this is not a new insight and takes us back to the differing schools of interpretation of quantum mechanics views of interactions of events and observers, but the presented model of Jack Cowan did not say who is the really observer of the hallucination as occurring in visual fieldâ¦the way I saw it, Observer is assumed to be all the time outside of events and simply watching what the activities are...is the observer the whole mathematically tuned mapping, self-organizing crystalline planar waves diffusion and the whole lot of processes and events or Observer is a focusing separate field of registering effects but able to interact with the phenomena so presentedâ¦?
